In his long musical career, Steve has covered a lot of territory.  Starting in a marching band as a youngster, he has moved through a multitude of styles - classical, jazz, rock, avant-garde and even Brazilian folkloric and popular music.   He has recorded 10 cds with groups in Vancouver and Seattle, many to critical acclaim.   He performed with jazz vocalist Wanda Nowicki for over 10 years, also cutting-edge improv ensemble Ion Zoo. He is currently recording a new project for Zotique with his old prog-rock bandmate Kurt von Hahn.  And weekly with Brejera, he plays authentic Brazilian choro and samba.  As Musical Director of Top City, he returns to his professional roots playing R&B on the big horn, holding down the bottom end on baritone sax, as well as adding some sizzle on alto and soprano sax.
